Book Blogger Hop and Follow My Book Blog Friday

Hey everyone! I decided to do Book Blogger Hop again as I enjoyed doing it so much last week! So here it goes! Book Blogger Hop is a weekly meme hosted by Crazy For Books made to help showcase your blog to other bloggers out there with the same interests!
"What very popular and hyped book in the blogosphere did you NOT enjoy and how did you feel about posting your review?"
In my opinion, usually books are hyped about for a good reason. And at the moment, I can't even think of a single book that I have not enjoyed! Not a one that has been hyped about that I have read haveI not liked it. But if I were to not like a book that's been hyped about, when I reviewed it I would stress the fact that just because I didn't like it doesn't mean that someone else won't. And I would also try and explain why I didn't care for the book too.

What do you do besides reading / reviewing as a hobby??
Nothing really. I just love to read, read, read! But in the summer I will put a good book down to go swimming!

ReplyDeleteJust hopping by and saying HI! I’m still pretty new to the book blogosphere, so I haven’t come across this problem yet… In my experience, almost every novel has some redeeming quality so I would focus on that.

That's amazing (and great) that you haven't disliked any overhyped books. I often find them disappointing. There are definite exceptions, though.

My Hop
I'm not a big fan of the angel books which seem to be everywhere at the moment. I read a couple but wasn't very impressed. I feel a bit bad when I criticise a book, but I have to be honest, or there's no worth in a good review.
ReplyDeleteI had the same answer as you for the blog hop. I agree, books are usually hyped and positively reviewed for a good reason.
