Top Ten Tuesday

11:51 PM

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly post prompt created by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week's prompt is books with sensory memories. I really related to this topic as I tend to remember exactly where I was when I first read my favorite books!

The Martian
I first read this book in my third year of university. It had been a long time since I had read a good book and I can still remember staying up well past midnight just to finish the book.

Ready Player One
I read this book this year for the first time. I was on holiday in Mexico and I remember just forgetting the world around me as I got into the world of the Oasis.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone
I first read this book with my dad as a kid. I can remember begging to stay up later to read just one more chapter in Harry's story.

The Fault in Our Stars
This was the first John Green book I ever read. I read it all in one sitting and sat against my bedroom door so no one would come in while I finished the book.

  1. Harry Potter is definitely addictive! I didn't read the series until I was an adult, but can certainly relate to wanting to read just a bit more. Here is our Top Ten Tuesday.

  2. I loved the Ready, player one movie so maybe I should read the book as well. Great list!

    My TTT:

  3. I love the image of you sitting against your bedroom door so no one could interrupt your reading!

  4. I like that... sitting with your back against the door so nobody would bother you! If only all books were that good!

  5. I've only ever read TFIOS by John Green. I did pick up his latest novel, but to be honest, I'm not sure I'll read it. Time will tell. :)

  6. TFioS was the first John Green book I ever read too! I remember crying quite a lot at the end. XD
