So Follow my Blog Friday is a meme held by Parajunkee and it's where you answer the weekly question and then link yourself and you go and check out other blogs of your interest.
Have you ever looked at book's cover and thought, This is going to horrible? But, was instead pleasantly surprised? Show us the cover and tell us about the book.
Not once have I thought I book would be horrible (I do my best to keep an open mind), but a few that I was surprised about were:
I don't know why, but I just don't enjoy either of these covers, but I did enjoy their contents!
My Soul to Take:She doesn't see dead people. She senses when someone near her is about to die. And when that happens, a force beyond her control compels her to scream bloody murder. Literally.
Kaylee just wants to enjoy having caught the attention of the hottest guy in school. But a normal date is hard to come by when Nash seems to know more about her need to scream than she does. And when classmates start dropping dead for no apparent reason, only Kaylee knows who'll be next.
Oriana's Eyes:As a pure-blood Winglet, Oriana isn't supposed to look at a half-blood much less speak to one. Half-bloods are the lowest of all races at Odon's University, because they are half Winglet and half Finlet. But when a half-blood, Dorian, locks eyes with her in the hallway, Oriana can't help but be intrigued by his daring nature. After sneaking out to the garden in the middle of the night to talk to him, Oriana knows she can't let her feelings go. She fears not following Odon's rules, but the more she sees Dorian the more she wants to break them all. When Oriana's idea of perfection crumbles she seeks a way out of the imprisoning University that threatens not only her happiness, but her very life. Dorian promises he has a plan to take her far away, but Oriana doubts they can escape Odon's all-seeing eye. Oriana isn't sure what she fears more, being stuck in the University or finding out what lies beyond its walls.

I really like the covers in the Soul Screamers series, I just couldn't get into it. I made it through the first two and I think half of the 3rd (or maybe half of the 2nd??) and never finished it. Old follower :)

I love the Soul Screamers and the covers although I was a little unsure what it would be about based off the cover. But glad I too keep an open mind. New GFC, Linky, and RSS follower.

I do like the Soul Screamer covers, but I admit that first one is kind of bleh compared to the new ones. What I like is the flowy dresses :)
