Review:
Dear John was a true tear-jerker romance novel. I got it for Christmas this year and I'm only just now getting around to reading it. But once I started, I had a very hard time putting it down. My favorite part of every Nicholas Sparks novel is how emotional they make you, they connect on such an emotional level that gives them the ability to yank your heartstrings at will. The writing was so smooth and flowing, and even though it's a stand alone book, it didn't leave out much in the way of details and information. The characters in Dear John are also very well developed and mature in a way that I didn't believe possible for such a short novel, but it happened. The overall reason that I loved Dear John would have to be how well the whole thing came together and how the ending was sad and I wish there was more, but there was a nice note of closure that brought the whole book together. For the next while I will be sitting and wondering what happened in Savanah and John's respective lives, wondering if they ever met again or if John found happiness elsewhere. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a good romance story with the only flaw being that there's no sequel to find out about what happens later in life to the characters.

Series: Curse Workers
Synopsis:
Cassel comes from a family of curse workers — people who have the power to change your emotions, your memories, your luck, by the slightest touch of their hands. And since curse work is illegal, they're all mobsters, or con artists. Except for Cassel. He hasn't got the magic touch, so he's an outsider, the straight kid in a crooked family. You just have to ignore one small detail — he killed his best friend, Lila, three years ago.
Ever since, Cassel has carefully built up a façade of normalcy, blending into the crowd. But his façade starts crumbling when he starts sleepwalking, propelled into the night by terrifying dreams about a white cat that wants to tell him something. He's noticing other disturbing things, too, including the strange behavior of his two brothers. They are keeping secrets from him, caught up in a mysterious plot. As Cassel begins to suspect he's part of a huge con game, he also wonders what really happened to Lila. Could she still be alive? To find that out, Cassel will have to out-con the conmen.

Review:
I ordered White Cat several days ago for the simple reason that I had seen so many great reviews and I wanted to check it out for myself. Once I did, I was hooked. Beware, there are some spoilers below.

White Cat was a great con story that took me on a roller coaster ride of a time. Overall, I would give White Cat a 5/5 for being so darn awesome and making me want to run out to the store to get all of Holly Black's other books.

Hey guys, I just had to tell you guys about a band that I happen to adore and listen to quite often while writing reviews. Who is it?

Marianas Trench!

Here are some of their different songs from their most recent album, Masterpiece Theatre. Please let me know what you guys think or if you have suggestions for music that I should listen to.

There you go. What do you guys think?
